Web design projects
Prepare a design brief, review your build and manage changes after launch.
Choose a service
Splash Design is a website designed and built for you. Splash Builder is the separate option for creating and editing a site yourself. Review current web design plans for page allowances and included features, then keep a copy of the accepted order.
Blue, Lime and Ruby have different scopes. SEO setup, monthly changes, an AI assistant and booking are not interchangeable promises across every tier. For shops, customer logins, integrations or other custom work, agree the requirements and quote before expecting those features in the workspace.
Your brief
- Describe your business, customers, service area and the main action visitors should take.
- List the pages you need and give each a purpose. Supply the actual service descriptions, contact details, opening hours and any prices you want published.
- Provide your logo and usable photographs, identifying which images belong with which service.
- Explain what you like about reference sites: layout, tone, navigation or how they explain a service.
- Identify the person approving the build and any deadline that affects launch.
Tell us where your domain and current website are managed. Arrange access through the agreed route; do not send passwords in ordinary project notes.
Review the draft
Use the review address supplied for your project. Check each page on a computer and a phone, then collect feedback in one clear list. Name the page, the section, what is wrong and the replacement text or desired result.
- Check spellings, service descriptions, prices, hours and contact details.
- Test navigation, buttons, phone links and forms.
- Check that images are correct and important content remains readable on a small screen.
- Confirm any agreed integrations and the destination of enquiries.
Separate corrections from new requirements so the team can confirm any effect on scope or timing before proceeding.
Extras
If your order includes an AI assistant, provide approved answers, boundaries and the contact route for questions it cannot resolve. Test ordinary enquiries and questions outside its scope. Review its responses; an assistant can make mistakes and should not be trusted to invent prices or commitments.
For booking, confirm availability, appointment types, durations, notification recipients and the actual calendar connection being delivered. Test a complete booking and cancellation before launch. Deposits, CRM connections, online shops and other custom integrations need their own agreed scope and checks; the standard editor demo does not demonstrate all of them.
Launch
- Confirm the final content and outstanding issues with the project team.
- Agree the domain connection and launch timing, especially when replacing a live site.
- Check that existing email records will be preserved during the DNS change.
- Once live, open the public HTTPS address, test the main contact route and verify where the enquiry arrives.
- Keep a record of the approved scope, account access and support route.
Hosting, SSL and backups are included in the website plans described in the catalogue. The website launch does not automatically transfer your domain registration or migrate your email.
After launch
Use the Builder guide for day-to-day page editing and publishing. For work you want the team to perform, submit a support request with the exact change. Included work and turnaround depend on your plan and the agreed scope.
For eligible websites built for you, ownership and download access follow the first-year payment conditions in your agreement. Your own supplied content remains yours. Review the terms and your account’s download status before planning a move to another host. Cancelling billing and exporting a website are separate actions.
